Used 96 Hz Soundcards

I put a few feelers out out on some used 96 cards from one of my old user group sites.
Any huge differences in a 9 year old cnverters to the new stuff the cards sare also 24 bit . I pln on running 4 of thse cards each card records in full duplex and can run up to 4 of them at once .
I hope to have an affodable 96 setup till I can go LYNX or something in the future
Thanks James.ca

I got a Delta 44 used. 24 bit and 96kHz sample rates. It's the nicest sound card I've ever owned. Although I've spent as much on cables and adapters than I would have had I bought one new. But for $100 for the card(used) no complaints on that.

If only having the card didn't send me down the home studio track. Needed microphone preamp and real mic because there's no plugin power / bias voltage. Needed Monitors because that's what the native cables lend themselves to. Needed Headphone Preamp (HP4) to control both monitors with one knob, and otherwise use just headphones when I want to be nice to the other critters that live near by. Now I need some super slick headphones since my audio world has been turned upside down by how my CDs, that I've had for over a decade, should have sounded a decade ago.

As for 24/96 soundcards, I've gone through a few. The Gadget Labs Wave424, an Echo Card, the Delta1010LT, the Delta 1010 and now the M-Audio Ozone for my laptop.

Out of all of them I think I liked the first, the Gadget Labs card the best. Unfortunately they went out of business (selling the cards WAY too cheap) and there was no XP ASIO driver available for years until some kid made one for a school project

Its not too uncommon to find these cards for dirt cheap. The 8 channel version only goes to 48Khz but its a great value regardless.

96Hz cards are great, you can really get that great 48Hz flatulence sound quite accurately.
