Thread Starter | What brand XLR patch bay to buy? I need a patch bay that's entirely XLR. What brand should I purchase that won't break the bank? It doesn't have to be bigger than say 12 ports. I saw options from HOSA on Sweetwater, but seeing as how my chain is pretty expensive at this point (Apogee Rosetta converters, multiple pres, all Mogami and Blue Kiwi cabiling, etc), I don't want something that will degrade signal quality. Any recommendations? |

| Gear addict | The Hosa xlr patchbay is a high quality unit-unlike their crap cables. I made my first patchbay using Neutrik panel mounts with gold contacts on the front and Mogami cables out the back into Neutrik gold xlr connectors. Like you, I didn't want to plug my high dollar stuff into something low quality. When I needed another patchbay, I bought the Hosa. I honestly don't hear any difference. One thing though. You can buy this patchbay brand new on eBay for around $75 (I did). The retail price on these seems kind of excessive to me. |
