'EY YO! anyone mixing OTB with an 002?

i just got a groovy studiomaster console and im stemming 8 ch's right outta' my 002 through it. i know everyone is usually in a huge fuss about converters and what-not, but ive been pleased with the way it sounds. ill be getting an Apogee Ensemble in the near future, but for now i really cant come up with a reason to cuss digidesign out for their A/D, D/A.

anyone agree?

I'm mixing OTB with a 002.
I take 8 analog and 8 digital out with a Rosetta 800.
Theses 16 out go trough my Api DSM24.
From there i do everything OTB,Eq,compression ,reverb. All external.
I mix onto a Studer a820 Quarter inch.
And back to the computer with a Lavry Blue.

I'm not really happy with the 002.I don'T know if i should do the switch to HD

I do this with the full 18 i/o that is possible with my 002R, and mix through my Soundtracs board and a full rack of comps and EQs. I love it. Can't go back to ITB.

Last month, while my mixer was in repair.
I have to mix 6 songs in the box.
It was really difficult for me.
No fun at all.
And the whole mixes sounded like s**t at the end.

I wish to never go back to ITB again.

Yes the difference between is pretty huge!
Si have to choose carefully what need to go on the apogee and what i send to the output of the 002 analog.
The analogs out of the Rosetta are cleaner, more focused, tighter low-end.
But at the end, when i combined all the outputs,it's fine.

I had the opportunity to output some stems from my 002R and a Behringer ADA8000 clocked from a TC Triple C (also used that for 2 analog outputs, giving 18 in total). The mixer I borrowed was an old Yamaha PM 1000. Talk about balls!
