| What is the point of buying PT new plugs ??? What is the point of buying plugs-ins for PT when you will have to buy then again when the newer PT is coming ? So many times i've tried run an old PT session, telling me X Eqs and Y comps are missing ! Do we rather work on the originals digi plugs and buy an hardware gear instead ? |

| I agree with this 100%. I find no use in buying new plug-ins. I have a few that I purchased back in the day that I continue to use so I will be forced into buying those again when the time comes. Hardware is where it's at for me.

| Me too, besides the massey plugs and Wave Arts MasterVerb5 I only use the stock eq3, dynamics3, and the effects that came with ptle. I've just grown to learn that I need to get the sound I want from the start instead of using all kinds of expensive plugins to get me there, it's actually lead to much better sounding mixes. |

| huh?? If the eq's and comp's are on your ilock? Then updating would just mean re-installing and allowing the ilock to recognize the programs right? I haven't had PT for long enough to have ever had this problem I guess?? but I have updated the PTLE a few times... since 6. something or other anyways...

| Do you think that VTS's sound better than PT plugs? As a mix engine, I think Nuendo sounds better than PT, but generally I think that the plugins sound better in Pro Tools. First thing I want is a hardware mixer, or at least a passive mix bus... |

| New plugin announcement! Ok, so we have all heard about the "talent plugin" and the "old dog, new tricks" plugin, next cab off the rank should be the "reverse engineering" plugin, where you can use the elastic time to go back and fix what is 5h1t :=))
