insert cables on an old school compressor

ok i got a peace of shit compressor given to me its call LPB S-2, its popped up on this forum a few years ago and didn't get a standing ovation. Anyway it cost me nothing so i don't care if it ends up sounding like a wight light i still wanna get it up and running.

My question is this how do i wire up an insert cable to it?

The back of the unit has screw pots for the following.

COMP STRAP

OUTPUT R
OUTPUT T

GND

INPUT R
INPUT T

BR

My insert cables, when stripped down, has 2 wires in input and 2 in output ,one of which is incased in a plastic coating, black on the output white on the input.

If this is a novice question i should point out that i am a Musician first, a dick-head second and a electrician/engineer last.

I don't know for sure, but it looks like there are connections for Ring and Tip on input and output.

GND is pretty obvious - ground.

COMP STRAP sounds like it the input to the control on the compressor - I'd guess that you use it by connecting it to the input "T" or a side chain.

I have no clue what BR would be....
