Yeah, there are tons of rebrands and knockoffs in modern cheap microphones.

It's probably not the same as Peluso though; I know they use customized capsules (I think they make their own, but I could be wrong), and high-end components (caps etc) inside the mics.

But maybe it is. Hard to tell these days.

For sure it isn't the same capsule or transformer but I wonder what this mike would be with the transfo and capsule changed out.(Peluso sells the CEK-367 34mm capsules for $190) This is definitely the company that does the PSUs and packaging for the Pelusos.

I had a 22-251, and this is the exact PSU that comes with it. Peluso changes alot of stuff in the mics, but maybe nothing in the PSU........I could be wrong though.

No custom guys make their own bodies, psu, etc, from scratch that I know of. That is just too much overhead, and the bodies dont make that much difference anyway.

But I dont know about the power supplies, maybe the cheap ones are already good enuff from the start?
