Ain't it nice when you can mix something in your small studio and take it to a BIG place and it sounds the same? I have been on this quest for 3 years trying to point this out to guys, but honestly this thread is up to 7 pages and I can count on one hand the rooms that are actually treated or set up right. Sometimes I feel like some guys listen to people like this Tips for Sound Isolation in a Home Recording Studio | Expert Village Videos more. BTW check out he has no room treatment but a U87... ![]() ![]() Glenn

Wow! Looks like a shot from a Miami Vice episode. Cool and moody vibe. I can feel it coming in the air tonight.... Hold on... P.S. First time I've seen another Swopper in a studio! BIG THUMBS UP on the Swopper! I've got them and they are killer; GO SWOPPER! ![]() Kyle |

| Gear Head | ![]() ![]() ![]() My old basement home studio. It had a great vibe and did a lot of cool records down there. I have since moved, and sold alot of the gear you see. However, I'm in the process of planning a "bigger and better" setup in my new home. The new place is really gonna be sick. It's gonna have some serious mojo.

| See: THE FURNITURE :: Swopper Executive Chair. This Month Special. Free Shipping Essentially, they are flexible stools that are super comfortable and, when paired with a footrest, make tracking guitars and bass for extended periods an effortless undertaking. Aside from the Aeron chairs at the control position, the swopper is the ultimate studio accessory for comfort. BTW, I'm not affiliated with the company I linked to above or to Swopper in any way. I'm simply a very satisfied user. GO SWOPPER! Kyle |

This is my little setup. Had it for about a month now and have noticed a huuuuuge difference in the quality of my mixdowns having switched to the HR824s with some treatment on the walls. (I used to have a pair of Alesis M1 520s with no treatment in an echoey room.) Now all I need is a new LCD monitor.

Well my room isn't worthy of any pictures yet. But it will be soon. I just finished working with a band on a song though and wanted to get some opinions from some slutz. MySpace.com - Firestorm Productions - - Other - www.myspace.com/firestormweb .. It's the only song on there. It's entitled "Otherside" Let me know what you think. -- Ben |

Well I guess I'll show my low-end studio too. Here's some shots of my booth and so called "control room" separated by some homemade partition and assisted with some gobos that I built for knocking down mic bleed - Riffster's Gobos On the cheap, I installed a camera to monitor the talent wich has worked out very well. |
