Thread Starter | SM Pro Audio EP84 users.....
I would greatly appreciate your opinion of the performance of these units. I am not expecting 8 NEVE's in a box but I am expenting them to be Useable and low Noise. I am Guessing they are like the PR8E but with a few more bells and whistles. Any info regarding them would be highly appreciated. Reliable? Thanks guys. |

I have a EP 84 and like it a lot. I does not compare to any of my high end pres, but I do use it quite often. I have achieved some great results recording drums through it. I have never used the PR8E, so I can't tell you about the diferences. It's a killer 8 channel pre for the price. I like it better than the Octopre or the Mackie. |

EP84 has low cut, and the phase reverse is on the front rather than on the back. The EP84 also has an optional A/D ADAT lightpipe board. I'm really keen for opinions too - I'm thinking of using one as a Digi001 front end.
