Behringer Meter Bridge (mb 8000) With Mackie 8 Bus ? Does it work
Hello,

i use a mackie 8 bus as a monitor mixer and was wondering if any body has tried to use a Behringer mb8000 meter bridge with it? (apparently they physically fit) it is just a question as to whether the pinout is identical?

i can't seem to locate schematics for either (just block diagrams)

i'm asking because i have always wanted a bridge for my desk but they cost like $1600 here in australia - i have the option of getting a behringer one for about $100...

I've never tried it, but I'd be willing to bet it works since the behringer mixer that bridge is for is an EXACT duplicate of the mackie. There was a lawsuit involved.

yeah, that's what i was thinking. I went ahead and got the unit. It ended up being $50! It has the identical ribbon cables in the identical spots. I also fits the desk perfectly.

All i gotta do now is find a schematic to compare pinouts - i dont want to re route power back into my mixer and fry it so i gotta know b 4 i plug it in....

Let us know how it works out. I'd be interested in doing the same.

I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem getting the pinout from Mackies tech support - they've been pretty helpfull to me in the past. It's possible that Behringer will just send you a link to Mackies tech support
