Well this one is easy and you haven't done the research right......The Delta 1010 has no ADAT lightpipe input so the octane would be virtually worhtless to it in the way it was meant to be used. You could use the Octane as a preamp in your signal chain and that would be about it. You would still have the same I/O of the 1010 no matter what. If you get the 002 it has a lightpipe input made for what the octane is designed to do. In this case the Octane would double your number of real inputs from 8 to 16. An M-Audio interface with lightpipe would be the Firewire 1814.

If you can afford the Delta 1010 and M-Powered than I would get the 002r instead because the final price is not that much more.

Do some searches on lightpipe on this forum for F'ing sakes!

Don't get the firewire 1814 with m-powered if you are on a PC- 1814 drivers do not work right with protools- none of the software knobs on the front (main volume, headphone volume) work when protools is running. M-audio has no plans to fix this as far as I know- I had many emails back and forth, and the answer was (and I quote)- "the 1814 is not expensive, what do you want?" Despite some of its issues, 002r is pretty good and is definitely stable. Also on clearance right now. 1814 would be a great product if it worked correctly.
