Echo Layla 3G

I got an amazing deal on an Echo Layla 3G PCI Interface and am now just waiting for my Powermac to arrive to install and run everything. I have a couple questions. Is the Layla 3G capable of using the 8 analog ins in tandem with the 8 digital ADAT ins, for a total of 16 simultaneous inputs? Is it the same for the analog and digital outputs? I ask this because I will be using a Yamaha 01v with the option ADAT card to run directly into the Laylas ADAT in and then I will run the remaining synths I have in my studio directly into the Laylas analog ins for a total of 24 plug-in inputs and 16 simultaneous recording inputs.

So in essence I will be using the 01v as an A/D converter (with extra goodies of course) and the Layla's 8 analog in's as direct inputs for whatever I have left.

Well I have an old Layla 24 PCI that I use to fool around with Ubuntu Studio / Linux Sampler. I don't imagine the 3G is all that different functionally and, on Windows at least, I was able to use all 8 analog ins and all 8 ADAT ins at the same time. I don't imagine it will be any different on OS X; Echo is pretty consistent with their functionality across hardware platforms.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for. I finally had a chance to pick up al the pieces of equipment and set up my new studio, now all I need to do is wire it up and hope all goes well. Thanks again for the info.
