| Gear addict | XLR rack panel I found this: Hosa PDR-369 So far this is the best thing ive found for what I need it for. Im not super impressed with hosa, but I not full of money, for $130 itd be worth it for convience. Would I be better off money wise and quality wise to build something like this myself with parts from Redco Audio It looked like all i needed was one of their rack panels, the 8-12 nuetrik female xlr connectors and the screws. Am I wrong?? |

| Redco Stuff bluestarbass, You have a couple choices on this. You can either get a rack panel and load it with solder type connectors. You would then have a short tail coming off the back from the Female XLR on the Front to the Male XLR on the back. Or we make a 1U chassis like the Hosa PDR-369 that we can punch, load and wire for you the same way with any number of connectors up to 16. We can also just punch the panels and give you the supplies to wire it yourself. Please contact me at 800-572-7280 if you have questions. Thanks, Chris Stubbs Redco Audio |

| Gear addict | Wow thanks for the reply Chris Thats what i love about this website, straight from the horses mouth. I actually have the snake already. The website doesnt have the back of the connecters but i figured there was an option just to have them be male plugs on the back. I just want to plug my snake in and have it go to a rack panel so I dont have to plug and in plug and wear out the connections in my board. I really appreciate your comments. I did not know such a website existed, youll definately be hearing from me more now. |

| I have the Hosa. Works well and is pretty solid for the few months I've had it in my rack. It's the only thing I could find all ready to go and whatnot. I went to redco.com (where I've boughten many cables and supplies!), but nothing I saw there was what I wanted. I was told that this type of thing can't really be screwed up in terms of killing your signal, so I took a chance and bought it. Redco, please put items like this already made on the page with pics!! Nobody makes patchbay XLR units except Hosa... and I'd trust you over them.

| REDCO! They made me one and it's been great. High quality and cheaper than that Hosa. Quote:

If i had known then what i know now, i would have purchased pre-punched metal panels, loaded them with solder-cup type xlr jacks and made my own.

It was easier to make than I thought it would be. Just some foam-type fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics, some velcro strips and some scissors. I couldn't find a wig to approximate Klaus' hairdo correctly, so I decided to go "commando" as it were. Chris
