| Lives for gear | Im already shopping for album 2, so Im looking at different consoles to consider. Budget is no more than 2500 USD, but obviously Im willing to go used. I will be mixing on the console for OTB projects. I heard that Soundtracs are pretty good boards, but also see some users liking Soundcraft as well. Any suggestions on boards that sound as good as the Soundtracs boards (like the Topaz). Currently, I use a small Yamaha MG12/4. Its actually pretty clean, but I would love more headroom and better preamps on each channel. I mix hip hop and rock music. No brand is out of the question, so bring on the info. BTW Yes I have done my share of searches on the boards, Im not getting too much solid info. Peace Illumination ![]() |
