behringer b-1, custom made tube preamp, recording live with 2 mics ... help please

Hi,

i`m trying to set up 2 mic direct live acustic recording setup. For now im getting marantz cd recordes as some payoff for some web work. Also i have some credits with one of audiofile top amp, preamp, speakers designer in our country. He really do amazing stuff.

So i`m thinking of ordering whole tube point to point (3d wiretrap) 2 channel mic preamp and headphone amp.

For start i was thinking about behringer b-1 microphones. How good will they do with recording live music at acustic spaces. I`ll be recording small bands about 4 people in most direct purist way.

Would you recomend b-1 or do u have any other mic alternative. And what do you think of custom made high end tube preamp.
