| Gear maniac | Looking for a set of active PA speakers/active monitors... Advice please? I am looking into a set of small PA speakers/active stage monitors. I happen to have the occasional gig with my partner - we just have a keyboard, 2 mics and maybe a guitarplayer or fluteplayer... Kinda acousticy singalong music. I have used the JBL EON 10 and I loved them - not too big and heavy and loud enough for the small gigs where there's no PA... and also very usable as stage monitors in case of bigger gigs. I'd like to have some more options than just those JBL's, so if anyone likes to comment or has advice, that's appreciated. Thanks, MDM. |

| I like the mackie 450s and 350s way better than the JBLs, personally. I have not heard the Yorkvilles, but a lot of folks say they are better than the mackies, so if i was buying a set now, I would definitely try those before I made a descision. |
