1st Post- Can I do this??

Hey all, I've been watching for a while now and thought I'd finally ask a dumb question to get the ball rolling. I have a little setup and I just recently bought a Behringer 2000 so that I din't have to use my mouse to mix in pro tools, and I can't seem to find an answer to the question of... can I use this to control the plug ins also, or just the mix screen? I do most all of my stuff in the Fantom, but thought it would be nice to see if a control panel was worth it for PT. Thanks in advance, and BTW, what a WONDERFUL community you all have here. Can't wait until I understand more of what you're saying

Yes. By holding a certain button during power up, I get HUI and it works for the main mix, but it would be nice to use it for compression ect. I'm planning on trading up to the 003 when I can work up the $, but this is a good learning experience and I can't seem to figure it out based on the manual and website. Probably my newbie understanding (or lack thereof) of what's being said. Thanks for the help.

Not all HUI capable devices are equal. I have a Ramsa DA7 that does semi-Hui control. As in transport functions, solo, mute pan and fader, but no plug in control. It just might be the B-mixer HUI control.

The Behringer BCF2000 has a baby HUI emulation mode that works with Pro Tools. Unfortunately the baby HUI did not support plug-in automation. This has been discussed several times on the DUC including This Thread. Scroll down to my post on the third page (I'm seagull on the DUC too)

I have two BCF2000s, use the mouse for the plugins, totally worth the price difference.
