SE experience

Hey all:

I'm shopping around for an inexpensive large diaphragm condesner, predominantly for vocals, but hopefully one that is versatile. I have tried the standards in this price range (ksm, 4040, etc etc) but have found them all lacking somewhat. I have a number of different pres, some nice, some not so nice, but I've come across another option: SE Z3300a.

I am wondering about anyone's experience with this mic, build quality, first impressions, etc, etc. Obviously the true test is to get it and hear it myself, but I'm hoping if it's a dud to avoid a bullet altogether. But the reviews I have read of it seem to make it a viable option. For what it's worth, I am testing through a Neve Portico (not mine :) a vtb1 and an RNP.

Thanks!
