| need advice on active floor monitor/practice pa i am looking to get a new pa type - active speaker to serve hopefully 2 purposes. 1) we're rehearsing music which will be combo live/laptop audio. the laptop stuff i want to be able to hear during rehearsal with more beef and bass than the studio reference monitors we use to create the music on. 2) i'd like the speaker to second as a nice floor monitor for our live shows which we can use as extra support and which is a known entity coming out of our laptop for our live sound. so far have been recommended mackie srm350s. a bit procey $550 - but if that's what it takes... we don't need to play super loud during practises but we need something with some beef to feel how things will sound live. |
