| Macbook and Mbox mini I've recently been struggling to run my protools sessions on my powerbook G4 (1.5GB RAM) and am soon to be travelling alot. So I was thinking of selling my powerbook and my digi 002R and getting the new black macbook with a little more ram and an mbox mini plus a mid keyboard. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the black macbook and how it runs compared to the powerbook G4? I was thinking of the macbook pro but it costs a little too much right now and I also wouldn't like to travel with it. I just hate how my powerbook basically stops dead when doing too much in pro tools. I have been getting up to 30 tracks with plug-ins and all lately. Also would anyone believe it's worth waiting for the new leopard operating system to come out? It's meant to allow the dual core to work use it's two processors for completely different tasks. This means way more speed. |
