Summing on an A&H beats ITB for ProTools LE

I did a quick experiment to compare: summing in Pro Tools LE, summing using my A&H MixWizard and the 002R's outputs, and summing using the MixWizard and a Behringer Ultragain Pro-8's D/A converters.

The difference between ITB and OTB is very striking; I will not be summing ITB any longer. The difference between the 002R and the Behringer is much more subtle, though I think I'd go with the 002R. See for yourself:

did a blind test and liked the 002 the best, followed by the behringer and the ITB.
thanks for taking your time to post the tests!!!!!

Some discussion of this on the DUC leads me to believe that it might all be due to how panning is handled in Pro Tools vs. the mixer. In mono, the mixes sound MUCH more similar than in stereo. I haven't had time to look into it since I posted it, but there may be other factors involved (though I believe the 002R vs. Behringer D/A converter comparison is probably pretty fair)

The difference between ITB and the 002 was striking. Did you use relatively equal panning on both tracks?
002 sounded best.
