Very difficult room acustic

Hello everyone and thanks for the reading this

Now this is complicated, see the picture (made myself e)..
I have an existing room that's with the black line, (1,5x2,5 meters, 2,5 high) opened in one side (one of the two of 1,5m) that leads to a MUCH bigger room (like 10x10m and NO too bad I can’t build my studio there)..
But.. I can use some of the space of the other room (in the project the segmented line, in any case not longer in the diagonal than 1,5/2m) and then place my monitors as in the picture..
That would require building some concrete walls on the segmented lines, so I’m doing this only if this means to have some acustic improvement from how it sounds now (that’s TERRIBLE, cause right now my studio is 1,5x2,5m).. In fact now, due to lack of space, I have NO BASS AT ALL.. So.. you guys have some suggestion?
1 how wide should the space increase of the room be and of what shape?
2 would the sound improvement be worth of the work?
3 should I work to bass reflection to enhance low frequencies?

Sounds like Physics homework, I know.. but I didn’t finish my University Course, and I'm regretting this!

Tnx and greetings from Italy
Jacopo

If you have the choice to change the room dimensions and shape, then you should. See these two articles:

That's not very technical as an opinion.. Thanks for replying but keep in mind that when you have no choice (that's my house, I won't change it for some years) you gotta come up with something clever...

Now, I'm thinking about an area extension that can improve a little my acoustic, I'll use a bass trap in the opposite wall and if you got any suggestions I'll follow them..

Plus I'll be studying the articles by Ethan Winer e

Due to the small size of the wall (1,5 base x 2,5 high see the previous post) I'm thinking about a bent bass trap that could eliminate the two corners opposite to the speakers

What you guys think about that?

PS thank god at least the ceiling is not flat, the room is the last floor and I have a typical attic roof
PPS thank you all for posting so quickly and compliments for the forum
PPPS Buying good hearphones was the first thing I did but after five hours it'll fry your head.. you guys know that

If it was me, I'd turn it 180 degrees and put the speakers back in the 'nook' area. It's not optimal but you'll get a bit of bass reinforcement from the boundaryes and have a nice large space behind you to help keep a nice open sound.

Just a quick add

In this room I work only with desktop production, I have no live sounds to record, except for my vocals.. so maybe I should work to obtain a compromise between a mic control room (similar for dimension and utilization) and a listening room (for the mixing part)...
