how do i insulate a kick trigger?

i live on the third floor of my building and i just bought a drumkat.

i have noticed that the my foot pedals make a slight thump, when i use them, that
i am SURE will annoy people downstairs.

part of why i have thissetup is to play at night...what to do?

and help with how to insulate the drumkat would be appreciated...it will be on a stand.

First I would ask the people down stairs if they can hear it. If they can then try a rubber mat of somekind.
