Help me Finalize my set up

Hi everybody

I just decided to build a little home studio ,recently I got the TC Konnekt 24D running on a 3.4ghz P4 ,asus MB ,2G DDR2 ,SATA 7200RPM /16MO HDD's etc
sounds nice to me..the only prob is I haven't been able to install Assimilator ?
BTW I use SX3
I also got a SP C1 and I have some sony MDR7506 and dynaudio BM5A coming
I'm a guitar player and my rig includes all kind of high end stuff like PCM80 and 2290
Right now I'm looking for a couple more items like a Tube mic and a stereo tube pre for different sounds/flavour .May be a tube compressor too
I don't want to spend a fortune on those but It must be in the same league as the rest or better
I'll take any advice about those and if I forgot something to be set just let me know ;-)

a nice tube mic to look at is the rode k2, its pretty nice. the presonus adl 600 is a nice tube pre as well! but if your a guitar player and want a good pre for that and have some $$ the api 3124 is fantastic!

Thx for your help ..the K2 is on my list as is the NTK
I'm going to track acoustics and electrics and vocals..probably nothing else ,the rest will be midi (drums etc...)
I do have a SM57 and a 609 that I use live for electrics that may have a use too
I will check right now the preamps you mentionned
