Thread Starter | DIY semi iso booth on low budget
I'm Building an semi iso booth, because I want to record drums and guitar amps in my apartment without complainings from others in my building. It is almost finist but I hoop for some feedback. My building process was... - floating floor on special foam. - building the wall's ceiling and door with drywall. - kit all cracks etc. - first isolation polystyrene as vibration isolation (I know it is a poor sound iso) - second isolation 11cm thick glaswool - insite finish with cotton fabric total cost was ca. 350 euro I hoop that I didn't make to much mistakes. There for I'm asking for some feedback. Greetz, Elmer |

well, it's a tad hard to see. if it sounds good, it works though. it looks okay from here, if you need better isolation, double up the drywall. |

ThanX for you reply! I've tested with an guitar amp and I could turn volume quite loud. The sound inside is dry, not much reflexion. But I like dry recordings 'cause it give more control over effects that can be add. Unfortiantly I don't have the equipment to analize on freq. responce.
