| Variverb Pro
The "Sascha" Suite.
Magix is releasing the Samplitude/Sequoia plugins in VST. Variverb Pro is one of my favorite "classic" reverb plugins.
Sampliquioans call it the Sascha suite in honor of their designer. He's on the Samp forum alot too.

I've been eyeballing that Reverence plug as well. How does it sound? Should I assume the three winking/thumbs up smilies means its good?

the csr plate is pretty good. bonus is you also get room, hall, and inverse plugins. ik has dumped the usb key for amplitube so maybe csr will follow.

reverence is awesome. How can you not get it for $40? I really love it and use it all the time. Also, SIR and some plate impulses from noisevault.

Jeepers!!
How can you tell what it sounds like from those samples?
Sorry man, no acoustic guitar, drum hit, vocal..(unless you count the iranian Niel Young sample) The plunky synth whatever it was isnt a good instrument to judge either.
Any other samples from anyone using this verb??

Reverence is great, and for $40 it's a you can't pass it up. A little off topic, but curious if anyones doing this. I mix ITB, but the last few mixes I've done I've been summing my effects/plugins (reverb, delay, pitch, modulation, etc.) OTB and printing my effects back to disc instead of rendering with them realtime. The sound is unbelievable. So much more air and life to the reverbs especially. Anyone else doing this? |

Sony Vegas. In general the plugin reverbs sound good when soloed, but not as good when mixed with the track. I started trying to run a seperate monitor buss for my reverbs. It;s a big improvement.

Yes the Variverb Pro is just amazing I use it for everything.
I made a little test and downloaded the CSR audio files (processed/unprocessed) on IK site and I could make the unprocessed audiofiles sound almost identical (with Variverb) as the processed audio files (with CSR)...

I can't do the IK CSR Reverb, everytime I hear CSR I think that Infomercial cleaner stuff the sell on TV. You know, with the crazy guy yelling at you to buy "CSR". Sorry, a little off topic, carry on. |

I just got the IK Classik Studio Reverb and I find that it is easier to use in a mix than the Plate 140. I think the Plate 140 may be more authentic, but I can't get enough of the dry signal through. So I always have to put it on another track and mix in the reverb by itself which is probably what you would have to do if you had a real plate 140 I guess. I think the Classik Studio Reverb is a great option for you, I don't think you are giving up anything on the Plate 140 because it works amazingly in a mix. I haven't even got to the advanced portion of the Reverb because the easy works so well. I find a good preset and tweek from there.
