Help me pic a Mic pre 4 my Dance Studio!!
Hi,

I have a mostly ITBox studio Running Cubase SX3. I do mostly Soulful dance music, and often record vocals, live bass/guitar, and live keyboards (no midi).

I have a Digidesign MBOX that works quite well..
BUT....

Its time for at least ONE channell of great preamp....

I like to keep things OLD SCHOOL...

I am basically between ..

a Brent Averill 1272 clone, an Avalon 737, and a Neve Portico 5016 (mic pre DI)....

HELP!!!!!!

I cant choose!!!

But I am leaning twoard the 5016...

at 1095.00 it seems the best "bang 4 the buck"


Thoughts???????
