hey sup dudettes

I'm currently using a studio projects vtb-1 going into an audiophile 2496. Does this make me a loser? Can I still hang out with you guys?

If you can pass me a recording that knocks me on my ass and you used a Wollensak and two crystal mics and a reel of Radio Shack rebaked 1/4" I wouldn't think you were a loser.

Shit, my dentist couldn't make a decent record if you gave him the keys to Oceanway, and I don't think he's a loser.

I don't think that being a loser is an occupational or consumer goods quality issue, if you look at it.

I still have my vtb-1, I like it! As long as your 2496 has a low noise floor, you can make some good tracks.

Remember, Its in the ear, not the gear..... oh yeah, and the brain too. e

Well, it makes me a winner in the sense that the adams are produced over here in EU - so they are a bit cheaper than on your continent. And, swedish school taught me english so I can speak with people from everywhere!

Btw - I love my vtb-1! But I don´t love my 2496 supermuch. I want to step up soundwise, but the 2496 is stable as hell - and I don´t want to go down the fw route. How´s the audiophile 192 compared to 2496, anyone???

I'd say look into the EMU range (1212m, 1616m, 1820m)

lastnight my girlfriend got mad at me, because i was watching a pro tools video and applying some things i learned in pro tools...she called me a geek..

i opened up a beer and felt better about myself..

she got so mad that she didnt even kiss me goodbye today when she left for work!
haha

i'm a happy loser. your DAW doesn't yell at you and make messes..it just listens to what you do...we should appriciate them.

there's two things that I can find that don't suck...

BCF2000 (it's not actually affecting the sound)
ADA8000 (I understand it to be an Alesis A/D internally...)

People talk about the headphone amp because it's just a headphone amp...who cares?

Never, and I mean NEVER, try and apply short-cuts you've learned in Pro Tools on your girlfriend... They DON'T appreciate it!

For them it's all about the build-up...
