garage recording

I've got a small recording setup in the garage. No acoustic treatment whatsoever.
Cement floors and a bit of carpet under the drum kit.
Where should I start if I wanted to improve the sound/frequency response of the room?
I've got about 8 sheets of rockwool and I don't know too much about acoustics.
Monitor position in room?
Distance from monitors?

think you should place your monitors as far as the rear wall as you can, and consider some acustic tretment in the other wall, the one at your back :P.
remember to place them making an equilateral triangle between the 2 monitors and your listening position, so to achieve a cool sweet spot.

Good luck with the studio. And happy hollidays to evreyone.

Cheers.
