CAD M177 or Apex 435 for Vocals

Anybody have any opinions as to which of these 2 mic's sound the best?
CAD M177 or the Apex 435?

I'll be using it for Vocals. Yes, I know they're not Neumanns.

I also don't want to hear "Oh, you shoudl spend a bit more and get X mic instead."
These 2 mics are on sale. $89 for the CAD M177 and $59,- for the APEX.
That's CDN dollars.

I have one of each.
There are both okay mics.
But my 435 is modded.
Better components.
It is the better sounding of the two mics.

My friend has a stock 435 APEX.
She likes it and uses it as a vocal mic.
I have heard some of her recordings and her vocals sound decent, using the stock 435.

I personally like the APEX better for instruments than for vox.

The CAD M177 isn't bad, on some voices, either.
But I do have some higher quality CAD mics, which sound better for vox, that aren't much more expensive than the CAD M177.

Both models are okay, for budget mics.

I see you're also in Vancouver.
Both of these Mics are on sale at L&M.

Yes, I live in Burnaby (North).
Those are pretty good prices for those mics, Henchman.
Do they have the CAD 179 on sale, as well?
That's a much better vocal-all-purpose mic.
My friend has a pair of them.

Cheers,
Roxxon

Too bad...
It's (CAD 179) a far more versatile and better sounding mic.
