I Axe - USB Guitar. This is the end of the world as we know it!

Okay, fellas, (sigh) that does it. I have officially declared the "good ol' days" over.

Assuming you just meant that because of the brand and not the concept, how about this?

I'm not sure whether being able to use a different rig for each individual string is a good thing, but I'm interested to hear what comes of it.

lol, i must admit, that simply because gibson did it, it triggered an opposite reaction to the behringer product

Which sub $1000 pre-amp should I buy for my low-E string?

What compressor is best for the unwound guitar strings? and the wound ones?

Do we really need this usb guitars? I canīt find any reason...

By the way, Behringer guitars in my experience are really terrible, not just because they are cheap, but there are much better guitars in this price range.

Nothing but a guitar synth with the sound module replaced by a built in USB midi interface. Hardly a revolution. Kind of like peanut butter with built in jelly. They are very handy if you are a guitar player that needs to do occasional midi parts.

As far as i can see the behringer does no midi. Itīs just a guitar that does A/D and puts an usb signal out. The Gibson does this for each string.
I havent tested the gibson, but i think that this will be a high quality guitar...
Well, for the midi stuff the roland works fine and is great for doing synth if you canīt play keyboards well
