| Need Bass Amp Suggestions - QUICK! Am thinking about adding a cool bass amp to my amp roster, and if I do it will be really soon, so, what advice does anyone have on which bass amp / setup would be a great all-arounder for recording. Can be a head, combo, preamp, whatever. Lets say top price $2K, but if it really does some amazing stuff, well maybe more then. Should be capable of getting a good variety of tones for a multitude of recording situations. I know in the guitar amp world nothing does everything, but there are some multi-channel amps that do a number of sounds really well. |

| The Ampeg B-15 reissue is very nice if you can afford it. I was asking the same question in a similar thread. http://gearslutz.com/board/showthread.php?t=98953 Or.... you could go for one of many tube driven DI boxxen.

| fliptop...ampeg b15. Mid 60s will be what you want to find. gbase.com or any other vintage shop is where to find them. Nothing else compares. m |

I just saw you're from austin. There were probably more of these sold down there than anywhere else. Go to that little vintage shop on South Lamar....near all the vintage clothing stores...can't remember their name, but they should have one, or know where to track one down. later, m | |
