| Dark Blue guitar pre amp For everyone who has been playing guitar for a number of years, and can't quite get that perfect sound of your guitar's natural tone being reproduced so well that it becomes your unique signature, please visit this website: www.emersonwilliams.com I was a loyal Mesa Boogie player for thirty (yeah, 30!) years, had Mike Bendinelli modify my amps over the years (started with a Mark II, on to a Mark IIc, Mark IIc+, Mark IV) and swore mesa to be the greatest amp ever! Until last year at NAMM, that was true. Don't get me wrong - the Boogie has been, is and will always be a great guitar amp. But I am always looking for an amp that would let each guitar I owned (quite a few) be a unique "color" on my pallette. The problem, as we all know, is that each amp really salthers its own color on generously as well - so much so that you lose the definition between a '52 Tele and a '04 Tele. I tried the darkblue guitar preamp ay 2006 NAMM for about 20 minutes and totally found what I was looking for. Check it out and maybe arrange for a demo of it with your own guitars so you can see what the hell I'm talking about. |

| Pricing Sorry it took me so long to reply. The darkblue preamp alone is $1999.99 retail (just got a pricing break). If you want it with the totally cool WIRELESS footswitch (up to 50 meters away form the unit) the price is $2499.99. Also, it can be ordered in one of two configurations - what I call the DM model with a particular tube in the drive section that gives a classic British, Vox style overdrive and the dB model which sports a thicker soundinf tube config in the drive section. If anyone wants to try one out, just call me and I'll arrange a drop off for you to test drive it alongside your current gear. darkblue.ca@ca.rr.com or (949) 631-9010 Bob |
