Holy Cow! Rockman vintage XPR guitar preamps go for $700+ on ebay!!!

I have always wanted the full rack Rockman XPR guitar preamps, just because every once in a while I need to channel Tom Shultz, so I go and check out ebay and I was blown away by the prices! I thought for sure that the prices would have gone down from 1999-2000, when they were going for $250-300 on ebay.

What gives with these units?

I used to be a Scholz dealer and sold a few of these. They were extremely expensive new but not as expensive as a Sustainer ($349.95), EQ ($169.95), Stereo Chorus ($169.95) and a Stereo Echo ($249.95 as I recall). They were cool from the aspect that you could MIDI change tones on the fly, but from a sheer tone aspect, I'd take the individual Sustainor/EQ/Chorus/Echo units.

One thing cool is you could insert the Sustainer in the XPR's effects loop, place both units on max distortion and you'd get a super-charged distortion without any additional hiss. THAT was super cool!
