Help me identify my old Ampeg combo please (I want it back!)

It was silver faced
It produced reverb out of one speaker and tremelo effect out of the other
Circa 1968 (I bought it in about 1977)
Some older hippy ****ers at a repair shop cheated me out of it (I was a teenager and didn't know better.. they said they couldn't get the parts..)

I WANT IT BACK!

What was it?

Echo Twins were a bit earlier with a top loaded control panel.
The circuitry was a stereo pair of Reverberockets.

Did your amp have the control panel top loaded or facing forward?

With the control panel facing forward, later 60's manufacturing date and 2 channels, with reverb and trem, I think you're talking about a Gemini I
or II.

You may find your amp type here.

Thanks, I think (70% sure) it was facing forward, fender twin style.

Yeah. Gemini that might have been it.

I have been advised a VT40 would be a good choice or a V2 head and cab. Unfortunately post Keith Richards the QOTSA guy discovered and used them also so they've had a rebirth of cool and are hard to get hold of.

The hunt goes on.

Nope. Thanks to that gear page Ampeg thread - I am now pretty sure it was an Echo Twin that I had. Inputs and knobs on top. And that cool black blue patterned vynal covering.

Thanks folks.

ET-1's and ET 2-B are the rarest Ampegs to find of all.

Peter Frampton's Ampeg ET-1 was his special crunch amp.

You can still find them but many need lots of work.

Super clean collector quality '63-'64 around $1800.00
