Fuzz, octave-up challenge! Reminiscent of Black Keys Lonely Boy

Hi,
I'm new to the forums but I'm anavid guitar player and I'm really into my effects. I have this idea that I've been thinking of and I'm just not too sure how to do it. :/ Basically I need an effect that allows me to play my dry signal and add fuzz while having a synth keyboard effect over the top of my signal, I think an octave up is my best option but I really dont know. For sound reference it is similar to black keys lonely boy after the intro riff. How would I achieve this without getting a keyboard player?
Ross.

There aren't a lot of options with blend knobs. You may need to do some stereo routing to 2 amps or have a custom true bypass looper made with a blend knob...

As for the fuzz/octave thing you could get an Octavia... Couple of companies make then. If you really want a synth vibe tho you might want to get a whammy pedal and a fuzz. A harmonizer pedal and fuzz would work too.

A splitter that splits your signal through a Fuzz and an EHX Microsynth or Pog on one channel and an Octavia on another. Should get you that sound!

^^ is a great idea.

I also use a Strymon Timeline for this - their Ice setting can do some amazing things that sound like synth/organ pads above/below it. There are some settings that I can hit a chord and it sounds like there is a keyboard player in the band hitting all sorts of musical notes.

I'm liking those ideas, a splitter pedal seems the best option any suggestions for pedals? I've always wanted to get a pog2

Pog 2 will do the organ sound nicely. An Octavia, Octave Clang, Johnny Octave or Fuzz Factory should nail those octave sounds and for the fuzz something like a Big Muff W/ Tone Wicker!

Em, nothing I'd pay for! I'm abit surprised (and dissapointed) the POG 2 doesn't have a "Dry Out". If you have a mixer I'd suggest the old DI to input, reverse DI output trick and route a few signals out to your various amps, fx etc.

If you're into electronics in any way you should be able to build and house a simple enough one for 20 bucks. Plenty of schematics floating around online.
