New speaker cab.

I just built my self an 8 ohm cab. Now I let my questions out. With the peavey 6505+ ohm selector switch you can choose between 4,6 and ohms I keep it at 8 but does anyone know if that is 8 for both outputs or if I plug another 8 ohm cab in will the ohmage match or will I need to set it to something else? Anyone?
