tube recommendation for Egnater Vox module-

Need some tube preamp advice-
I need to switch out the two 12ax7 preamp tube in my Vox module on my Egnater MOD-100 amp. What are some great preamp tubes for vox/clean sounds? I hear JAN 5751 are good, what are some other great tubes out there. I will using the module for clean/dirty clean sounds, and dirty sounds, nothing really with heavy gain...any suggestions? thanks!

I'm not sure you're going to find a huge difference with different tubes in a thoroughly modern amp like that. I'm using Tung Sol 12AX7s (reissues) in my church AC30 at Lord Valve's recommendation and they sound 95% as good as the Mullards in my AC30 at home. Why not try those and see what you think?

check out the egnater forum on rig-talk. i swapped a lower gain tube into my VX module based on the recommendations there and was very happy (loved the module before, even more so after).
