Custom Tones Ethos TLE

hello
i just got me one of them Ethos TLE , Dumble sounding pedals,
and First day had it DI ed into the desk(Neve) and hated it, but client liked it,
day 2 Liked it better , went for a more subtle od sound, liked how it played despite there being no amp in the chain
day 3 , had to do a thick creamy LP front p up solo, and it rocked, under the same set up, was impressed with the tuch response and control in the tone , and it didnt sound flat or Di ed, it impressed me.
Day 4 Strat between p ups, choppy sorta Nile Rodgers, it was great , easy to get variance in tones till it sat right.

Cant wait to plug it into my Bass man , and see what it can do there

Great pedal, both as a direct box/amp emulator and as an effects pedal!

Ebow

A client today used the Ethos with a les paul and a ebow, sounded really nice again Di ed into the Neve, then we got a George Benson semi and twiddled a few knobs and had that Knopfler money for NOthing tone right down.
quite an amazing piece of kit

Amp

Tried this pedal out with a Fender deluxe , going for a hotter but not flat out distorted sound, \It was amazing , lots of tone and harmonics, lots of feel in your right hand, really responsive and playable, recorded very well,
still very pleased

There is one listed locally here in the Vancouver/Portland area on craigslist but he wants way more than the going price from the maker. I'll wait patiently for my number to come up one the list. Not going to give this opportunist the the pleasure of ripping me off.

I know

Hi
I know what you are saying about the pricing of these 2nd hand, but figure it this way,
if your a session player , or a working Gitar player, and you need a sound , cos you get paid to work , then the price of tis Box means a bit less, yeah its a lot, but you get the tone NOW, not in 2 years,
So i guess thats why people will pay over the odds to get there hands on one.
the she thing happens in the car world with SHort run limited edition sports cars, pole pay a big deposit and reserve a ltd Porsche or Ferrari , and somebody comes along and pays over the face value for the option to buy.
I suppose its human nature.

Got my notification email this morning form Rob at Custom Tones that my pedal is ready, Can't wait for it to arrive. Even though I can't play right now due to chemo induced neuropathy in my fingers.
