Speaker Sim for Mesa V-Twin Rack

I have a Mesa Boogie V-Twin Rack which is modded by Voodoo Amps.

I'd like to use it for my next album and I am looking for a speaker sim to put in my rack.

I've heard very good things about Palmer PGA-04 and I was wondering if I could use it with my V-Twin since it has no power amp.

Any suggestions?

You can use it, since there's no power amp it should work.

for a lot less money, i used to use the ADA MicroCab II speaker emulator and it pairs up nicely with the V-Twin, which I had until recently. TheMicrocab II will work with preamps, and also has a through for powered amps. I believe there are mods out there that will allow it to also work like a Palmer for powered heads.

Bottom line, if you're just using it for the V-Twin, the Palmer is great but there are cheaper options available. If you have the funds and foresee using it on tube amp heads, absolutely go for it.

Thanks! you've made my day I'll get a Palmer since I'm planning to buy a couple of amps in the future.
