Which snare drum series produces a better sound on record?

Curious if a Pork Pie or DW snare has a better recording sound anyone know?

DW in a heartbeat!
I have worked with Pork Pie (acrylic) snares a couple of times and have been very underwhelmed.
Last drummer I recorded used a DW copper snare and it blew me away.
Even the undersnare mic sounded great, warm and rich.

I am also a big fan of the Tama Starclassic snare drums

DW,on and off record.
The two Pork pie snares I have encountered have been two of my least favorite drums

Honestly, each of those brands has such a wide range of instruments it would be impossible to say one is 'better'.

DW and Pork Pie both make some fantastic drums.

There it is. The original question is MUCH too general. I've heard drums from both brands sound great, and also underwhelming, depending on the drum and the intended sound.
