Those are great speakers!! Not sure what cab it is. Is it real wood or ply wood?

I'd actually get that looked at by someone who knows Marshalls. The pic you showed is of a "pre-Rola" Celestion Greenback. Last time I shopped for them, a quad would run you over $1500. If the cab is original, then it's a late 60s/early 70s ply cab, probably with a plywood back. The metal handles are correct but there are no corner protectors. The grill cloth is wrong, and looks like it was applied by an amateur, so I'd suspect a recovered, regrilled Marshall cab...

A guy told me on marshallforum that my cab is a laney klipp from 70s ..
I`m thinking of loading it with celestion vintage 30, but i don`t know if it`s worth ... if it will sound nice ..

The earlier G12s 20 watt geenbacks are better, but I agree - pretty well sure to be either a Laney or maybe Simms-Watts, or another of the UK "off" brands. Also don't think those G12 M 25s were original to that cab.

If it was mine I would keep it as it is.

The blue ones would not make THAT much difference.

I currently have a 12" G12S 20 watt greenback in my wide panel deluxe clone and it sounds delicious.

Does the cab have the speakers included? Are they the black tab, pre-Rola G12M-25s? If so, most classic rock type amps will sound better with them than the V30s. More modern rock might be better with the V30s, but the cab might not hold up as well in the bass as a modern Mesa or Orange cab.

Oh - and didn't Laney buy the rights to the HH speaker designs and their stock of parts back when HH went out of business?

Won't get modern from greenbacks, but you can sell them for a good price and buy V30s for less!

You're talking about replacing highly desirable and valuable pre Rola
Celestions with Chinese production V-30's ?????
