Thread Starter | Thin Lizzy Early Recording Questions?? Hi everyone. I'm new to the site so I'm sorry if I have chosen the wrong place to ask these questions. I am a huge Thin Lizzy fan. I play Les Paul and have always been a fan of the later sound. Lately I have been getting back into Vinyl and got my hands on some stuff I never heard before. Does anyone know what gear Eric Bell may have used for recording stuff like "Randolph’s Tango" or "Little Girl In Bloom?" His tone is fantastic. To me its hard to put a finger on it. I would say its Cranked Marshall with a Strat. I would guess the volume and tone knobs are rolled down a bit and He is playing with a very light touch... I have seen him in recent years with humbuckers in his strat...did he play like that even in the early 70's? Any shared knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks While I wait for some answers..I’ll keep listening to Rival Son’s new LP..Awesome! |
