Thread Starter | Fender Tone Ring Cabinets - What are they, benefits, etc?
Just bought a '66 Fender Showman that I'll be restoring, and will eventually be buying a 1x15 Fender cab to go with it. I've noticed some have what's called a tone ring, others don't. It appears it's different from what Dr. Z amps have as a tone ring, but I don't know enough to make a definitive statement. If anyone can explain a) what it is, and b) perceived sound benefits that would be great. Thanks!
