Thread Starter | bass amp recording line out question
last summer i tried recording bass through my bassists vintage head line out right to the zed r16's line in. we also did this with an old tube reel to reel and it sounded great (though a bit noisy). i was just wondering whether it was still a good idea to get a di to put between the line out and the board. any tips with this kind of thing.

My suggestion would be mike it up, it's the best thing to do.

Do what sounds best to you! Might be a mix of direct and mic. I like the effect of direct bass which turns the listeners' speakers into bass drivers, but there is also the sound of the players amp and speakers. No rules, use your ears! L |
