I don't really use'em but yeah I'd say a OD or a autofilter .

A tuner for sure. I run a Boss DD7 delay pedal because I do a couple of tunes that need a delay. Sounds cool on slower tunes if you set it up correctly.

Who said there was an FOH guy involved. I play a lot of shows where my amp is the only thing filling the room with bass.

of course the tuner is most important. make sure you tune the guitars and bass with the same tuner unless its live. but otherrwise, od/distortion pedals have the biggest impact on tone PEDAL wise

I'm sure it's different for players , but a tuner is the last thing I ever needed , I'd tune before the set and I'm good . Never needed one in all these years . To me it's like wearing a watch , if it's there I look at it all the time but if it's not I get by just fine . FYI some are tone suckers as well.
