| Gear nut | VHT Pitbull 50CL or Orange Rockerverb 100?
I am in the market for a new amp. I have it narrowed down between these 2 amps. However I played through the VHT 6 months ago and the Orange this past weekend. So hard to pick without playing them side by side. So to anyone who has xp with both of these amps please help. I play metal mostly. Want a heavy, brutal tone. Think Divine Heresey, Black Dahlia, LOG, etc. (I know these are not the amps they use, please keep this thread about the two specific amps I listed) I can assume the Orage has way better cleans, and the Dirty to be more Organic than the VHT. But what are some other differences or opinions on these 2? |

I just bought a VHT Pitbull 100-CL got it used for $999.99 Still waiting for it to show up :( but I cant wait...Honestly the price played a huge factor. I played the Orange about 3 weeks ago and I played the Pitbull about a year ago, so it was very hard to compare. The Orange was amazing and the cleans were even better. But I think for what I am doing the Pitbull is going to be boss. Now I just need a good cab |

Good choice on the Pitbull. I almost picked one up myself recently. Great sounding heads. I liked paired with a Mesa Recto cab personally, not a big fan of the VHT cabs.
