Ampeg Brings it Home with New Heritage Series

- Classic Ampeg Gear Designed and Assembled in the U.S.A. -

Ampeg announces a new line of premium heads and cabs that are designed and assembled in the U.S.A. The all-new Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL, Heritage SVT-810E and Heritage SVT-410HLF represent the pinnacle of classic Ampeg tone, styling and construction. The new series delivers everything bassists love about classic Ampeg gear plus some premium upgrades, including high-end tubes and custom U.S.-made drivers.

“We hear you loud and clear,” remarks director of amplification, Pytor Belov. “Dedicated Ampeg customers worldwide have been asking for US-made SVT rigs. We not only brought a classic design back to the states, we also sourced the most exceptional components available.”

Ampeg’s Heritage Series heads deliver massive, all-tube power using premium JJ tubes for the preamp stage and “Winged C” power tubes. Just like the originals, the Heritage SVT-CL pushes 300 watts of power, which is perfect for the companion cabinets. The Heritage SVT-810E and SVT-410HLF both feature custom U.S.-made Eminence® drivers that meet the exact specifications of the original SVT speakers. The enclosures are built using rugged 15 mm birch plywood and are meticulously assembled within a stone’s throw of Ampeg’s headquarters in Woodinville, WA.

The Ampeg Heritage Series will be available in limited release globally from March 2010. The Heritage SVT-CL will have a U.K. RRP of £2553.00, the Heritage SVT-810E will have a U.K. RRP of £1327.00 and the Heritage SVT-410HLF will have a U.K. RRP of £1021.00

Come see these and other exciting new Ampeg products at Musikmesse 2010 on the LOUD Technologies booth in Halle 6.1 booth # C31.

Anything Loud Technologies has touched has turned to crap.

Ampeg was the last American Hero of amp companies and it made
many of us sick to see their production outsourced to Asia.

If they built truly original spec Blue Line or early Black Line SVT's
there might be a demand for them, but Loud Technology always
cuts corners anyway they can.

The original SVT speaker cabs were loaded with 32 Ohm CTS AlNiCos, so if you're talking original specs, bring it.

You can't do a whole lot on new production tubes, so sure Winged C's
are a good choice.

Loud Technologies needs a wake up call.

Stop building crap and charge a fair price for quality U.S. built legacy circuits.

If they want to offer a less expensive consumer line, then fine, but
the people who earn a living playing music need to count on their
tools and would much prefer to support the highly gifted techs here at home.

I totally agree.
Plus I don't like to pay slave labour in the other side of the globe with my money.

I think the growing availability of presets in synths started to make musicians lazy: they were so amazed at what they could use, they stopped thinking if they should.
