Thought you guys might wanna check this out, it's a buddy of mine (Carl Roa from the progressive band, Magic Elf) playing a nice Les Paul through a boutique Fortin amp... if I remember correctly, it was just one SM57 mic on the speaker cone going into an API 3124+ (you can see the API gear behind his head if you look closely)... I believe the delay was a PCM41... and Apogee AD16X converter.

Carl also just did a second lesson video for Guitar World Magazine, can be seen here at the Guitar World website... in this case he's using a Suhr guitar... the rest of the path is the same as above I believe, 57 into 3124+, etc. Some pretty crazy playing too.
