Line 6 MM4 or Eventide Modfactor?

Hi!
I'm currently deciding whether I should buy a Line 6 MM4 or the Eventide Modfactor for my Fender Rhodes. The most important effects for me are the Phaser, a Stereo-Tremolo (Panning) and an Auto-Wah. Which box is better for my purpose?
Thanks!
Peter

I've had both- still own the Modfactor.

In short, neither.

The Eventide is much, much better sounding than the MM4 but there are several operational problems with it that I have tried to live with but ultimately decided it isn't worth it.

The main issue with the Modfactor is one of level.
It is impossible to not get a volume jump with presets.
Eventide are aware of the problem and issued an update for the Rotary, which was worst affected, giving you level control over it.
The rest of the presets are unable to control in this manner.
It is infuriating considering the cost.

No update is forthcoming for this issue.

The Eventide pedals are worlds better than the Line 6. If you A/B them, I'm confident you will find the Eventide stuff is simply in a different league. I haven't owned the MM4 but I have the modfactor and the timefactor and used to own the Line 6 delay and filter pedals that are in the same line as the MM4. I also have owned old and new PODs and I know the Line 6 mod effects from playing the MM4 and from using my PODs (which have the same effects, i believe). So, although I haven't owned the MM4 and you may conclude I'm not qualified to answer this, I think I have experienced similar enough Line 6 stuff to have a valid point of view - and my view is the Eventide crushes the Line 6 stuff in every way (clarity, richness, depth of programmability, consistently inspiring results, etc...)

The sound quality of the Line6 is poor, a friend of mine had one and got it modded at Tonehunter in Germany (the guy how developed the SPL Transducer). Aftr the mod it was better, but far from good - stay away.

I've not used the Eventide so far, so no comment there.

I have heard the line 6 verbzilla last week and thought it sounded quite nice.
Bit grainy but thick, and blends well.

You seem to hate it passionately, i'll keep it in mind and stay away from them.
I'm in for a good delay pedal, probably well get a carbon copy.

The Carbon Copy is a good sounding, durable pedal at a decent price.

If you're going for Line 6, move up to the M9 or M13, way more flexible, updated software on a regular basis and sounds pretty decent.

If your budget is wide open, move up to rackmount and get a decent Eventide or Lexicon unit.

and is a delay pedal.
We're talking about modulation here.
You can only do very basic modulation with a delay pedal.

I know that, but gizeh above was suggesting it as an option, so I thought it deserved a comment...
