My Ibanez collection - keep or sell?

HI all,

Just after some opinions really. I've been considering having a guitar made, or buying a Washburn N4 Padauk. I currently play Ibanez guitars and have been thinking about selling a couple of my rarer ones to get some cash together.

Guitar #1 is an RG565 in green. This is a rare model and has humbucker/single configuration and a maple fingerboard with colour-coded dots. You don't see them that often in good condition, and mine is near mint.

Guitar #2 is an RG517. This was the blue glitter finish RG570 variant from '96/'97. This one is especially unusual though. I bought it from Carcass's ex-guitarist, Carlo Regedas. He said he was sponsored by Ibanez so I'm wondering if they made it for him. It has a matching blue glitter reverse headstock, bound fb with sharkfin inlays, and a blue mirror pickguard - none of which were on the plain RG517. In good condition too. And in case you're wondering, he didn't mention Carcass or his Ibanez sponsorship until AFTER the money had changed hands, so he had no reason to lie!

So, I'm thinking these are probably worth a little something, but is now the right time to sell such things? Or am I better off keeping hold of them?

Unless you need money to eat, hang on to them. Nothing is fetching full value right now with few exceptions
